The conference will cover the following topics:

A) Foundations, theoretical aspects and mathematical formalism of statistical physics

B) Connection with information theory and mathematical statistics

C) Applications (classical and quantum physical systems, dynamical systems, transport theory etc)

The next International Workshop and Conference on Network Science (NetSci 08) will be held on 23 – 27 June, 2008. Its aim is to bring together leading researchers, practitioners, and teachers in network science (including analysts, modelling experts, visualisation specialists, and others) to foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.

33rd Conference of the Middle European Cooperation in Statistical Physics

Together with the traditional interest on general aspects of disordered systems (aging phenomena, rheological properties, jamming, dielectric relaxation) this edition of the workshop will pay a special attention to the behviour of systems of biological interest (macromolecules, protein networks, protein-DNA complexes etc...), with emphasis on single-molecule studies.

The European Conference on Complex Systems 2007 will take place from October 1-3 in Dresden

Aims

The aim of the conference is to gather together researchers from different communities (Physics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science and Engineering) in order to review recent results, exchange ideas and methods and confront different view points on common problems linking economics and physical sciences, or broadly speaking soft and hard sciences.

CEC 2007 will feature a world-class conference that aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of evolutionary computation and computational intelligence from all around the globe. Technical exchanges within the research community will encompass keynote speeches, special sessions, tutorial workshops, panel discussions as well as poster presentations.

This informal meeting is devoted to the application of probability theory and statistics to the analysis of complex systems, including granular systems, the atmosphere, biology, social and economic systems. Statistical-mechanical methods introduced by Boltzmann still are useful and provide a unifying methodology for different research fields.
