The 1st ICC Workshop on Complexity in Social Systems will be concerned with theories, methodologies, and computational tools related to the study of complexity in social systems, aiming to bring together researchers to report on progress in interdisciplinary domains. Papers examining both theory and practice are welcome.

XI International Workshop on Complex Systems
Together with the traditional interest on general aspects of disordered systems (aging phenomena, rheological properties, jamming, dielectric relaxation) this edition of the workshop will pay a special attention to the behviour of systems of biological interest (macromolecules, protein networks, protein-DNA complexes etc...), with emphasis on single-molecule studies.

Theoretical Aspects and Models of Large, Complex and Open Information Networks
Scope
Large, Complex and Open Information Networks consist of many interacting nodes, and have been shown to possess emerging properties such as the small-world character or the widespread heterogeneity of the connectivity.
Trading competition: Artificial Financial Markets
A group of day traders and young researchers competed to outperform each other's strategy in NatLab, our artificial stock market simulation platform. By exposing real traders and scientific experts to a simulated environment, we could study which features (in terms of information flow and market structure) are essential for a realistic simulations.
